I spent today milling with Bluerider and his buddy Bernie milling a European Elm tree. What a blast!

I didn't use my mill, but spent the day learning how to set a tree stump up to mill. It was a fact finding/recording, brain absorption day. Blue rider has been milling for over 20 years and I couldn't have had a better teacher.

Here are some pictures I took today.

A note to BobL, I do need to make a lower handle for my mill. I understand what you meant by having a low handle for pushing.

Bluerider, you and Bernie are great teachers. Only wish I have is that you wore more PPE's.

Nice Pics Jerry, good looking wood too.:clap:

Good teachers make all the difference in something like milling.

I must admit I'm glad I don't have to wear a mask though.

Cheers
