be aware that wesspur is false advertising and selling a cheap knockoff product. what they show in the pic and what they sell you is 2 different things.in the catalog they show a 5/8 spectra runner and they give me a cheep 12mm 22kn dynema runner:dizzy: .sherrill has the same dynema runners 12mm but with 27kn:confused: . so is if fair 2 say wesspur is missleading and false advertising? im pissed and will never buy from them ever.sherrill will beet the price and give me10% off of the difference:clap: no company can match or beet that because sherrill is a great company and wesspur stinks:cheers: i want to know what others would do so please let me know.

Wesspur is a stand up company... just give em a call
i have already called and they told me they changed companys but when i called the first time to order they failed to mention that. why? do they just want my money and could care less?did they change because they want to pinch pennies? i think so. when the big wig called me back i got a poor attitude. they just want to get the products back and give me a refund. most likely to cover things up. to me thats bad buissnes and because of the poor attitude im not willing. so im gona post and warn others about the scam. thanx for the reply. do u have any other ideas?

I had this same type of problem with wesspur a few years ago. they had nearly the same prices as everyone else, but had a free shipping special.
so I bit. I ordered 4 ropes . I got 3 ropes in the bag, and one loose (and tangled up) rope. I stretch them out to coil and store and find the loose one to be very short.
I call them and am told that the weight of the box matches the weight of 4 ropes. I say ok. go out and measured the short rope, and look at their website and wouldn't you know it,the feet missing X price per foot, matches within 2 cents of the cost of shipping the box. so I call back and explain all this to the guy, and am basically told I am a liar. me? heck, I'd have paid the $30ish to ship the box, as all I got was 3 ropes, and one almost too short to work with. It wasn't the price, it was the principle of the thing.
I guess it was just me though, all I ever hear is praise for them. I'll not give them cheating SOB's another dollar!

I have had only good experiences with WesSpur. They have sent me a few products I didn't like, but they refunded my money quickly or gave me the option for full credit towards my next order. I have only good things to say about them. Yes, they did change manufacturers on a few products, but they were always honest about that with me when I called them on it. Sherrill is a good company, to be sure, but their website is a joke, as has been pointed out in here many times. I honestly wonder why they keep it up. I guess Tobe likes to mess with it himself. One day he'll get it right. It's always funny to enter "polesaw" or "pole saw" on an arborist supply company's website and get "item not found" on the return.

dont buy a saw from baileys they wont back em either yer shipping on weight is more expensive than a spectra dyneema, wesspur is fine you need to speak with them, and by the way yalex whoopie slings by yale too small for a pulley, there a lot of sponsor vendors on here so i keep it to myself but if you want dumpage, sherrill wont back there gear either. get over it spread some good in the world and get back up in the tree

Wesspur and Sherrill

I got a Fixe William from Sherrill online and found that it was $2 cheaper to buy them seperate. I emailed them and they refunded me my $2 + tax.

I purchased 15ft of the new beeline from Wesspur Monday and had it sent Priority Mail to be sure I had before Friday and its still not here. I will seek a refund for the extra shipping cost.

The last thing I ordered from Sherrill took 27 days to get here. Never again. Nothing was back ordered, even from the get go. It should take max 3 days with ups to get the stuff here.

I ordered from wesspur on the same day and got the stuff in 4 days, across country.

I ordered a spike climbers kit from them online, goofed up on belt size and spur type, e-mailled them, same day I got a response that it was taken care of. Got the stuff, and it was right. I have nothing but good to say about wespur. Can't say anything either way for sheril.:hmm3grin2orange:

You should seek a refund on ALL the costs. You asked for it by a specific day and paid extra so it would be there on time when you asked for it. You obviously wanted it before friday for something and now they meesed it up...F them!

I have had good results with both

I have had good result with both .But it usally takes longer for shipping from wesspur but it is free after $100. So I guess it boils down to the old you get what you pay for .

wesspur

i have had nothing but good service from wesspur, sherrill, bailyes how ever treetools and ben medows are on my *#@!#$ list fast shipping good coustmer service keeps me coming back

I order through Wessp/Sherrl/Baileys - no complaints - except for the catalogues and websites. It's like a kid in a candy store. I love reading about different gear and end up buying lots of stuff I don't use.

Sucka - dat me, I'm a spectaclular consumer.

What I would do is quit yappin and get the stupid refund.
Every company makes mistakes.
Heck, did they even tell you the runner was rated for climbing?

I have had orders sent out wrong from wespur and sherrill.. Dont know whether it was from me giving them wrong information or from them not payiong attention. However, my wrongs were made right by both companies. I will say the sherrill had alot better attitude when I contacted them about the problem... The guy I spoke to at wespur seemed almost anoyed by my call... MY own experience....
