I wear a leather glove on my RH, and choppers on my left in weather below zero. When the chainsaw is put down to do other work, the chopper goes back on the right hand.
If I believe I only will need to use the saw a short time I will sometimes just forget the glove and work with RH barehanded, or take the chance of fatigue and use the chopper on the RH if its just one or two tankfuls. For working all day with chiansaw, choppers' don't provide sure enough grip or "feel" ---after a while you'll be cutting frozen dirt and rocks while bucking, or worse, taking chances of hurting yourself.
