So my ol buddy from motorcycle school flys me out every other year to do tree work for him and his buddies. Great deal all expense paid. Keys to bikes and a v8 leaxus.
Anyhew...I get here (carmel, north of Indianapolis) and every tree in his neighborhood is pretty much SMOKED. To be technical. Apparently they had a extreme drought. Worse one in 30+ years so the trees were very dry and to a point of being brittle. Then whe that storm blew through it caused the branches (ones that didn't break) to fracture. Long cracks going down the length of them. Now the barks peeling back. ITS BAD. Well for home owners. Not for us.
The reason for the post is I looked up info online and found....not much. Purdue forestry has a couple of things but it seems to be overlooked. My guess is the next 2 years those branches are gunna end up smashing all kinds of stuff.
Anyone else notice how bad it is? Next week I go to Ohio. Im wondering if its the same there
