just as the title says.... i have been trimming and cutting down trees on the side for awhile and thinking about doing it the legal way and getting insurance. who do you guys go through and whats the average cost pre year. thanks for any helpful info.

matt

Alot of variables. When i was looking for general liability ins. i got quotes of $344 a year for 600,000 and $629 a year for 2 Mill.

yea i know there is alot of different things for price but i cant find a place that does insurance for tree trimming and removal with anything in the air. my current insurance does trimming insurance but you cant use a boom or climb the tree to trim so that doesnt work. i am looking more for what companys have what i need.

no1 on here has insurance???? well 80 people have read this post and no answer.... insurance must be overrated or just no1 once to say anything????? not very nice 2 the new guy.

1 million runs me about 900 bucks a year through Burlington Insurance. My insurance agent shops around at the end of each year to find me the cheapest carrier. The last two years he has me with Burlington.

Call your independent insurance agent?

I'm actualliy in the same boat, and I believe my agent quoted me $550ish for minimum general liability coverage, which here I think is $300,000. But I'm in Mass, and well........yeah, nuff said.

Insurance

My premium was 660 this yr for a 2mil policy, which many cities here require...

I have seen less sell for more, so be careful!

That....or nobody is willing to call their insurer "the best". ;) I just about clicked out, but you laid enough guilt to convice me to give you something:

I called several agents in town. Only one wanted to touch the State required pesticide application coverage. Mine is through Westfield. I can't say they are good or bad. I shopped around with out of town agents, and they are pretty close in price. No complaints/no reason to say they are great...

insurance

Maybe you can buy insurance from other parts of the USA since some policies cover you nationwide. There are some new companies out there giving some better deals than what Ive seen before.

I just want to make sure these guys arent getting ripped off.

A 2 million $ policy cost me 660 $ for 1 year. Thats it!
