I find unique timber and cut it up
Okay, I'm pretty good with tree ID, but this one has me a little stumped.... I'll probably have one of those "Oh crap, it XXXXXXX!" when the leaves come out.
Few details:
#1: North central Arkansas for the location.
#2: Have seen it in the woods as well as a few yards and roadsides.
#3: The bark is smooth when the tree is small(under 5" diameter), the older tree I've seen has rough deep ridge type bark, grayish brown.
