I think you may be right. I took out a holly a few years ago. Holy carp is that stuff dense.

is it as bad a gum? we had some and it was hard for our little 27ton troy bilt could do to split it lol

The trunk was 3"-4", so I didn't split it.

Definately Honey locust, heavy but good burning, buddys a tree guy so i pick up most of the trunk sections he doesnt want to wrestle with, bogs down my 35 ton splitter but she burns hot and long, ill take it anyday
