I'm always wearing out golves draggin that brush. Cheap stanley gloves from home depot. I just bought some goat skin gloves, supposed to be more durable. Time will tell.

I like the rubber coated gloves for climbing, but after a couple days those are shot too. At a buck a pair I don't mind.

Only wear gloves if there is PI in tree, pull throw bag line if hung up, or when it gets real cold.

Where can you buy Mechanix gloves from. One of the lads i worked with & he brought some back from the US & recomends them.
So any links to any sites that sell them
Thanks.

kinco pigskin gloves are the very best. they fit good and feel great. Most times you will throw them away because of dirt and sweat before you wear holes in them. 5.95 a pair.

they also come with an elastic wrist or cuff i like the elastic since it keeps out the dirt and saw dust.

I get the openknit dotted gloves for a dollar a pair by the dozen. Some kinds of work I'd rather barehand but often the gloves go on for grip and cleanliness. I wear a polypropylene liner underneath when cold, not such a big issue in NC.

If real cold or wet, the liner is under those orange gloves with the vinyl streaks across them; grippy even when wet.

I used to use Atlas blue but found some of the black palm Atlas gloves, just as sticky as the blue but the rubber palm and fingers are twice as thick, they last much longer, get them for 3.75 a pair. When rigging Iuse any decent thick leather glove. trie the mechanix gloves too slippery.

I hate to wear gloves. I put one on to throw the throw bag and sometimes forget to take it off. Ugly gloves work pretty good. They aren't very warm but its something, If its really cold and I like to have thick pair of leather with some lineing. But some tasks you just can wear those. There is no perfect glove that I have found that is lightweight, durable and still allows you to get a good feel on things.

Good quote in your signature, John. Mr. Maas, you may want to turn on signatures for a moment to check it out. :D And on the topic, were you a jungle or desert in grade school?

I Like the Deerskin Stihl Gloves they seem to last quite a while. 14.95 a Pair but I highly recomend them. :blob2:

Ahhh So should we make it a Hate thread or maybe a TCI Thread?

I was a desert in grade school. Now that I'm back in school seeking a Biology degree, I'm a jungle.

Hmm, maybe more like an invasive non-native. I question everything. Most professors enjoy our sometimes heated dialogues, others are less than enthusiastic about my skepticism of their "infallibility".

Back to the gloves!
