wondering what rope i should have to pull trees down and also for safety when working on the roof of my home ? wondering if I could buy just one rope that would work for both purposes ?
Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance !

Please note: I have a safety harness d am also wondering when on the roof of my home if there is something that would tighten the rope each time i make a move, instead of retying it each time(something that would lock onto the rope)?

just a basic safty you shouldnt use a rope that is subject to extreme stress like pulling with with a truck or something for life support, not to mention when the tree falls on the thing and smashes it into the ground, but a good 1/2 inch rope can handle alot would work for both applications, probably something in 16 strand

thank you for the information ! i would be hooking it to my truck to pull some trees in the proper direction for added safety. I can usuallly drop a tree where i want but this tree in my yard is by the electric lines. i want to be sure to pull it away from the lines by attahcing a pulley to a good tree not far from it and then having my truck uphill in my yard on the level pulling at a 90 degree angle enough to pull the tree the proper way.
