We are looking to buy another self propelled grinder, currently we have a Carlton sp7015, it does a good job grinding has good power, but makes a huge mess, chips fly everywhere. The operator spends more time cleaning up than anything else. We used to run a Vermeer SC 502, tow behind that didn't make anywhere near the mess, Just looking to see who has what and what kind of mess the others make compared to the carlton, Looking to switch to a track machine also. Thanks for any info!

what teeth are you running? i run a 7015 trx with a sandvick disc. don't have a real prob with it. how you grind the stump makes a diff to.

we run green teeth, 1100 series, and I run them on a vermeer 502 and it doesn't make anywhere near the mess as the carlton.

My Carlton with the Sandvic wheel makes very little mess. All the chips go under the machine, or at least not too far to either side.
Your problem is the Greenteeth. I tried those on two different machine and HATED them. They make a huge mess ALL THE TIME. They throw chips 100' in every direction. Change to a Sandvic wheel and your mess will go away.
for a track machine, I highly recommend the Carlton 7015 TRX.
Pricey, but worth every penny.

If you would like to see a Bandit 2900 track run let me know and we can arrange to bring one out for you to try.

Thanks
