Hear is a picture of a 357 Husqvarna .
The worm gear that runs the bar oil pump looks like its been hot .worn into.
I would assume this gear spines into the clutch drum and drives the oil pump once clutch is engaged (correct????)
Anyone tell me what may have caused this problem ?
Thanks Eric

If the sprocket was not engaged into the oiler drive gear when the clutch was tightened then it could break the oiler gear.

By the way if anyone has this gear in stock Part#503912902
Please let me know I have checked every dealer within a 100 miles no one has one.

eric,
hard to tell without doing the repair and only looking at a photo, but it does look like the oiler was not lined up on the clutch drum. marty

Well I got the oilier fixed.. John Walker seem to think that the problem was something that was done at the factory..

Hi Eric, it was all because you didn't have enough nitro in the mix. Barky has now dubbed you Nitrojunkie.
Just kidding Eric, we will never let you live that one down. Who started it I dont know, must have been Chris, he's a trouble maker
In actuality, I tested your fuel and it ran slower in the 357 than my pump gas with Maxima 35:1 which proves my saw cant hose the nitro to the carb fast enough.
