What year 385xp is this?

How do I ID the year on this era Husqvarna? First 2 of serial look like 05. 2005?

Is this one of the early models that may have bearing issues?

I have a trade deal on the table that I intend to take, what should I be cautious of with this saw?

Thanks. Anything to look out for, specific to a 2005 385xp? Aside from the normal things like compresson, pull muffler and peek at cyl/piston etc

I dunno, I am always a bit dubious of saws that have a fairly clean tag- apart from some scratches eliminating part or all of the serial numbers........

In saying that, I do own a couple with similar looking scratched tags!

I took the trade. It's a bit more used than I'd hoped for but it was still a smart trade I think.


Nice guy, threw in a 181se that needs rings, albeit in rough shape.

Sometimes the 385's did have a bearing issue - the outboard sealed bearing did not fit real tight on the crank creating an air leak and spun crank - bearing fit.
