Last year we had a few brown hornworms devour a small portion of a 12-15' tall oak with 3" trunk.
Over the winter it seems something is still munching on leaves - much of the tree has been comsumed. But I don't see any caterpillars. Could it be anything else? They ear the entire leaf, stopping half way down each leaf's leader twig before reaching the branch.
Thanks!
