What's in a name?

Does anyone know wher the Bry-Dan saddle got it's name and where the Hobbs Block got it's name?

Bry-Dan sounds like a combination of two names. And I'll bet a nickle Hobbs was the last name of the inventor.

Ed Hobbs back in the 1970's. Not sure what Bry-Dan stands for, maybe his kids names or something. Interestingly enough, when he patented the lowering device around 1980, he named it the Lowering Device.

Hobbs named it for his sons-Brian and Daniel.

Very good A+. Yes, Bry-Dan are Ed's two boys Bryan & Daniel. Ed Hobbs did invent the lowering device and gave it his name. Ed is doing well to this day and is still involved in the tree business. Yeah the God Father is still kickin'.
