MA Easy start with positive off and auto on

MA Easy start with positive off and auto on

Ignition Module Parameters

* Improved low-end output performance, easier starting
* Timing advance at starting, eliminates kick back
* Momentary Kill function, Positive Off, Auto On - Warranty driven
* Patent received

And this little gem

MB Digital

MB Digital

Ignition Module Parameters

* Smaller package
* Timing advance, customized
* Precise speed governing, +/- 300 RPM
o Not sensitive to air gap
o Not sensitive to flux level
o Not sensitive to temperature
* Momentary kill function
* Smart on board intelligence - idle feedback stability
* Precise cut-in
* Higher low end output performance
* Lower cost approach, self powering

A really handy ignition module...since it is not sensitve to air gap nor magnetic flux density we can do away with the flywheel entirely...plastic fan only for cooling.

New School is so much fun

Its a secret
We are not privy to the inner working of the greater intellectual mind
You are to envision their thought and formulate the picture and what they are referring to in your minds eye.
Concentrate Grasshopper.

"I see" said the blind man,as he picked up his hammer and saw.

My Zen Fu is weak but I'll try.

I'm assuming the image I keep getting of two tanned naughty blondes in the forest carrying a pair of Husky 385XP's wearing nothing but saw chaps ,work boots and wet white cropped t-shirts with the logo "I Love Wood" is not exactly what their referring to?

I'll try again later. I want to finish the one of the blondes first. :censored:

What if it actually works as described?

The wording should state reduced sensitivity.....if it works as described Andy, there is no need for a flywheel as I stated. This would indeed improve balance immensely

It's not my ignition....it is the company that Stihl is sourcing from for their ignitions and feedback carburetor design.

Good luck guys:rock:

Doesn't an engine NEED a flywheel to store energy, to carry the crankshaft through the compression stroke?

The crank itself performs that function

Only if it is designed with the appropriate inertial mass. Current saw cranks off-load part of that function to the flywheel.

There are some very good write ups on crank/flywheel interactions on AS - some only a few months ago.
