I thought I smelled plastic burning but wasn't sure. Stopped for a refuel and discovered this. One of the screws that holds on the heat shield fell off. And promptly put a hole through the filter housing.
When you have a screw loose, it can get heated real quick.

Yep! Smells, small changes in noise, conveyor belt shifting due to wood chip in lower roller. Park on a solid surface and notice an oil drip.
You have a white gas tank, blue flat spot. I'm guessing wood splitter also from the photo in other post.
At least the internet is great for getting parts ordered and shipped promptly.
Could have been worse. You might have been ordering a new gas tank...or more!
I keep a fire extinguisher in the storage container close to where the equipment is set up for the summer.
