Thanks

I've got a huge stump that has raised all of the ground around it, and the HO wants the whole thing leveled with the yard. I'm thinking I have to just use a 252 grinder, and I'm knowing that is too weak and awkard for the incline on this thing.

BTW, Case 580 back hoes....they aren't good stump rippers. I'd say they are best for sand castle architects...maybe. Certainly that JD 710 would have demoed the problem, but that monster had too much girth to get back there. The 580 fit, but the 580 flopped back there....too weak.

I'm cranked now not because I took a 580 hoe out to the job for nothing, but because I have to spend so much time goofing with a tiny stump grinder that is too, too small for the job if someone doesn't have a tip about where they are renting out the big ones in SD county.

Why not just have Plyscamp do it for you, he services all of SanDiego County.
You can look up his number, google Gordy's Stump Grinding.

He's got a big machine, Vermeer sc50tx or something like that.

Exactly, sub it out, renting a grinder for 1 job is just a waste time& money.

Thanks

This truly is some giddy ####. Oh and good luck finding someone out there that will rent a goofball a big grinder.
