Hi There, Ok, Im here, nobody but me and NP, so what now, just her and Alberta Genuine Draft to keep off the chill. I think Dennis is snow boarding in Blue River or at the Log Inn Pub trying to sell a few saws to the Hell's Angels.
Anyway, just takin a few pictures of Dennis's shop, do ya see NP in the background?

Hi There, so here here I am in what may as well be Idaho. Twenty below zero, with a bit of wind chill factor here in the mountains. Oh well, spring is not too far off. Dennis didnt have all the girls here that he said he would have, oh well, back to the Log Inn Pub.
Be smart, take it easy like the Grizzly bear in hibernation.
I dont know where Greffard disappeared too, but all my Alberta Genuine Draft has disappeared.
John

Hey John, you know that's almost exactly the picture I had in my mind of what Dennis's place looked like. Dennis told me that he was sick of waiting for ya and headed out for a week's vacation in Alberta. So what's up with the laptop and satellite link (?) to get on the internet from your truck! Some logger you are! Watch out for those pesky wolverines and llamas.

Hey gypo, ya bum,

Blame no panties for not visiting (til sat nite at 5:53 pm sharp) for a month. I think they're holed up in a hollow log somewhere. Thanks to some strange hormone problem causing a strange blue swelling on certain attached (?) body parts of said missing saw guru, I had to ski at Sun Peaks by my lonesome yesterday.

But I met a really good one planker with whom I trashed most of the untracked powder. Then Nancy Greene and I took care of the rest. She was nice and left the deepest stuff in the really tight trees to yours truly. The race course was taken down, so she didnt get a chance to tie our record at 1-1.

Hope Dennis survives the epic adventure, as my 3120 and Jonsy that I left at his sister's house in 'loops wont get race ready by themselves.

At the prices ole one handed Greff charges for saw work, I dont think he'd be at Blue River. At least not with Mike Weigle at ~$500 a day for heli riding. And that's US $, my calculator doesn't go up high enough to figure the Cdn.

He wouldn't ride with me, maybe he was afraid to eat dust, uh powder contrails.

Bl*e *alls, not Blue River?

Robert...once again Gyro has flown the coop...I kicked him out at 6:15 this mornig when he was cleaning up all the beer cans he was sleeping with...I had enough of him already...he is gone to Falkland for a day or two and dont know if he will have computer access there....but he will be back tues night or Wed. I think he is going to call you today...try him on his cell...

Mr Dennis,

Thanks to a customer cancel due to a death in the family, and gusty winds and rain keeping me low and slow, I get to recover from (not so) Sun Peaks.

Took a couple (thousand) turns for ya!!! The guy I met will let me crash with him if I return. I may, if you twist my arm.

Thanks for the help!! I included a retired 034 Super (I think) upper assembly. I don't think it is that messed up, but need your professional perusal. Piston slop or wear, scars? Cylinder marks dont feel like scratches. Toss it if its junk, otherwise let me know.

let's see if my first attempt at posting a pics works. File size may be too big.

It worked!!

Any of you guys interested in following the story about this upcoming tree removal and the actual process, go to the commercial thread, where I'll start a thread and post more pics.

Dennis, I thought about your advice of making a basal prune with one cut, but decided it wouldn't be any fun.

54" of new at Baker since Wednesday, 227" base and counting, shall we meet there, it's halfway, well, quarter anyhow......... Maybe Rumble Gully will have enough freshies by the time you finish my 3120 to produce another 20 foot crown avalanche. Wanna get really airborne???!!!!!!!
The one/two planker ratio was closer before RG let loose twice back in the 98/99 1260" world record snowfall year.

Roger...I always need a day of recovery after tearing up the slopes as well...I think my sister will be bringing up the saws today or Thursday...I will let you know about that cylinder...

We should be able to get a day of Spring skiing yet this year...

Hi there, Greffard thru me out at 6 am. Mon. I think because I was after his girlfriend. So I have been seeking refuge here in Faulkland. Nice guy, he drinks all my beer and throws me out next morning, and tells me to go have some breakfast up town and come back later. Of coarse my feelings were hurt so I just kept trucking and will wait for Robert to straighten him out. Dennis is definitely a first class creep, but I will fix him.
Anyway, in order to satiate my woodfibre needs, I went on a woodtick run with an old friend here. I got stuck many times in the deep snow so the winch came in handy, thats winch, not wench. We found some dead standing Fir and Birch and winched the truck along with a tree length stem attached to the bumper of the truck. It looked just like a train. Here's a picture I took of Ken just as he found a bottle of Crown Royal I had stashed in the truck for Robert, oh well when they made that they made lots of it.

Gyro, don`t drink that it`s maple syrup.
Did you make it to Batchewana after leaving the Sault?
Was that one sleeping bag big enough for both of you?

Hi Kevin, we made it to Batchewana Bay that night and book a room in a motel, it was at least 45 degrees in the room and I had to leave the door open just to get it warm inside.
Because Robyn is showing now and is pregnant with Rick's child, I let her have the sleeping bag and blackets while I slept under her between the mattress and box spring.
Anyway, here's a picture of a 40 ft. log with at least a 48" butt. I think it is Doug Fir.
John

Hi Scott, glad you checked in, its always a pleasure.
By the time I get my 346 and you get my 026, and I get my 346PP Sno Pro, then we shall all be Blood Brothers.
John

Since I have tried to get in touch with Dennis he's always out and with the movie crew I guess he won't even be going to town with all his new fame. As I see it when you get that popular people are always trying to get you to do favors. Tickets here, build a chainsaw there, return calls.
