Which chain is which

I bought 2 oregon chains ... one is 50 gauge for my current bar and 58 gauge for my new bar ... i have got them mixed up so how do i tell them apart ???

i think there should be a numbering like "punch" on the drive links

50 guage should have 72 on the drive links. 58 should have 73.

Ok thanks I don't want to destroy a bar or chain by mismatching them

The .058 won't fit in the bar slot on the .050

I found the sales receipt so I can stop stressing

If trying each chain in each bar is too complicated, you could also measure the thickness with calipers.
