I want to buy a spare bar for my new 359 on ebay. My current bar lists serial numbers that include 3/8 72dl and I know the slot is .050. On the factory Husky bars these same dimensions are listed on HA-380-72 and HT-380-72 and even FT-280-72 for the 20" bar. I would like to know are these for different model saws and have different mounting holes or are they for different chains or are they the same with different noses. Is there a site I can find out the compatibility of factory bars for models and chains. It looks like I could get a factory bar for a lot less on ebay with a little patience but I dont want to get stuck with the wrong one. Any info that would point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

trimmed, I got that info from there site. I couldn't find any info on mikes site about the mounts so I checked out Husky. I just got to checking there site some more trimmed, if the 280 and 380 indicate a mount size then Husky must have a lot of mounts they list a

I thought Husky only had a large and a small mount but going by those # I figured they where to do with the gauge and pitch combined not the mount size but I could be wrong. I will admit tho I need to learn a lot about the gauge and pitch on them, still trying to find a nice combo for my 028, but I think I am going to stay with .325/050 on it since I cannot find 3/8 LP in chisel.

If you look on that site (granted could be clearer) 
the 280 series only goes up to 24" in length, all the bars that are longer are 380 series
380 with the 0 being 50g
388 with the 8 being 58g
383 with the 3 being 63g
The 280 series works the same way, then you have some of the other #'s like the 150 that represent different type of bars as in intenz or double guard or whatever it might be. I didn't actually look up the 150, just using it as an example But that's the drift, as I understand it.

or thats what I get from it, obviously I have been wrong before.
