I am getting ready to purchase a new chainsaw.I want to get either a 385XP or 395XP Husqvarna. What one would y'all get.I do cut some larger trees,40" and up,from time to time.I did have a 066 but sold it.So this is the real reason for another large saw. Also,I will be sending it to Ken when I get for a Woods Saw up grade:D .So which should I get and why? Thanks:)

Hi Cliff, I have a KD 385 and have felled and bucked over 100,000 ft. with it, all that was ever changed out in that time was a carb kit. Get the 385, it's light and really sings. Tell Ken you want the high compression oil cap.

I have a new 385 by Dennis and I love it. I was debating the question between the two myself. I went with the 385 for several reasons, newer design, 2lbs lighter, side chain tensioner, and Dennis and several other people said they're a great saw that takes mods real well. I think they were right. It is hard to pass up the extra stock h.p. but I can't imagine needing more than I have. Wanting more is always a problem. Anyway, I really like the 385, it has some real nice features that are not available on the 395 and it runs great.

Thanks, guys:) .Well the 385XP is what I'll get then.I talked to Ken yesterday and also the 385XP.He said for the price I can buy it for it would be well worth it.He also said it takes well to the mods.I'll let you know as soon as I recieve it.Thanks again.
