White finger support group

How many of you have white finger? I'm talking actually have the full blown disorder with numbness that can come on even when it's 50 degrees out? I've got it pretty bad and don't see myself putting down a saw for at least the next 30 years when my mortgage is paid off.

All modern saws with AV. 201t, 660, 260 pro, 562xp, 385 ect. Some people are just more prone to it. HAVE (hand arm vibration syndrome) is an overuse form of raynauds. Google it, not being snide, seriously Google it. I believe mine originally came from riding a bmx bike over 200 days a year as a kid/teen. Aggravated by saws.

l'd stay away from rubber av mount saws, when l got my ms660 the first thing I noticed is how much it viabrated in your hands at idle compared to other spring AV saws. My recently restored partner R-16 has no AV and rattles ya bones but its reallya shelf queen not a daily runner. Sorry to hear whitefinger gotcha, especially when you love saws and need to use them. On the other hand (no pun intended) saws today must meet pretty high standards as far as how much they are allowed to rattle, and there is some super smoothe saws out there.

That's why i asked the rubber stihls 660 260 460 punished me, had my hands tingling. To the point I just couldn't run them anymore. I switched to all modern spring saws and its basically went away. The 2 series husky saws with springs hurt me also. I've broke both wrists and bones in my hands in high school football, running the rubber saws I could feel the pain in the breaks.

Wow, I thought more people here would have some. I wouldn't say it "got me"CR888, more just something I deal with. It sure ain't stopping me.

And yeah, I do notice that the spring AV seems to work better. My favorite saw to pick up is my 562xp. Thing weights nothing and runs like a rabid baboon.
