I received my new saddle (Petzl Navaho mini boss) in the mail Friday and I'm about to make my own rope bridge for it out of a piece of Safety Blue that I am going to trim off of one of my lines. I know this might sound like an elementary question but I am wondering how long of a piece to trim for the bridge. I plan to attach it to the rings with scaffold/double fishermans knots and would like to know what length you guys are using for you bridge so I don't have to cut more than one piece off of my line. I guess I could just cut a long piece and work with that but I'd like to spare as much of my line as possible.

I see where the rope bridge on the treemotion saddle is just secured to the rings by stopper knots on either side of both rings but I don't know how much I would trust that. I assume that double fisherman knots will be safe to terminate on the bridge rings as I use them for life support on everything else. Just to be positive, I will be clipping to the 1/2 safety blue bridge with a D caribiner and terminating my knots with double fisherman knots, Anything wrong with that?

Nice bridge. :D

Nothing wrong with the 4 D weaver. I climbed with them for years. Simple, easy, and comfortable (to me anyway). I have had other saddles given to me and returned them because I liked my old Weaver better. I'm just wanting to use some more advanced hitches and techniques which will work a little bit better with the setup I'm going to. Plus I have to admit, the Petzl is SOOO much lighter. I'm going to have to do a little customizing before I can really use it but I'm working on it. Had a small job yesterday where I had to do 2 light, spikeless prunes. I really wanted to use the Petzl but I hadn't even tried it on yet so I had use my old saddle. Hopefully I can get it setup and use it on a large removal I have this week.

I have been playing with the idea of changing too. Last time I bought a saddle I had an SRT half way on and I balked put it down and bought another 4D
