I just got done with a post and remembered to use the spell checker before I posted. The word 'arborists' was flagged in the box. When I looked to see if I had misspelled the word, I found that 'arborists' isn't in the dictionary.

Does anyone else see the a problem here?

Tom, I know what an arborist is but what is an Arabist? Is it like Osama bin Laden up a in tree with an 020? I gues Arabists would make good toppers, heading it back....

Might be something to mention in the Site Support forum. This most recent version of vBulletin was only installed 2 weeks ago. If I'm not mistaken, the spellchecker at the ISA forum has been in place for over 6 years and still didn't have the word 'Arborist' included the last time I checked.

Do you have a spell checker over at your forum, Tom?

As a matter of fact;
i think he uses the same spell checker you offer at your forum;
the won recomended by JP as i re-member! :dizzy:

RB,

What a memory! :)

Rocky,

TB doesn't have a spell checker. The comment wasn't meant as a TB/AS thing in case that wasn't obvious. Just an observation. You seem to have forgotten that I added 'arborist' and a lot of other words to the ISA spell checker. At the time, I had moderator status for adding words. Who has that duty here at AS?

Spell checkers are mis-named anyway. They should be call typing checkers. It's rare that I don't know how to spell but too common that I can't type correctly.

Its just a standard spell check that VB gives you. If I have time I will look at how to add words to the spell checker, but at this point most of us could care less that one another can or cannot spell. I think we can weed our way through most posts and know what one another is trying to convey.

BTW-I hope you guys know how to spell arborist if you are one.:dizzy:

Yes, but I have better things to do.

Nick, you REALLY need to stop peeking at custom.dic files. Someone might mistake you for a homonym. :dizzy:
