This 051AV has a coil on it with 'germany' on it. I assume then it is a 'Bosh' coil. The air cover does say electronic on it..Does this mean thier are no points? I'm working on getting flywheel off to trace the wires that go behind it. I think I'll need to buy a flywheel puller thou..Not moving any other way I try. Does this saw have anything I can check outside of buying new coil? any points? is there some kind of trigger thing to check? thanks..Gene

Couple things to check would be that the On/Off switch is working properly and not shorting, that the spark plug wire is not broken or shorting anywhere. Without a puller you could try and grab the flywheel and with the nut still on the threads of the crank (READ) lightly tap the crank with a hammer. It's not an immediate process but it should come free eventually. Hope some of this helps.

...also use some sort of break free or penetrating liquid: PB Blaster...even WD-40

I am going to hijack this thread so that we don't have to start a new one. I am having trouble with spark on my 051. I have checked the plug, the wire(visually). I replaced the ignition coil with a new one(pricey). Still no spark. I then removed the flywheel and found a black Bosch unit. I can't find this part anywhere and not even sure if this is the problem. I have seen a post
http://www.arboristsite.com/communi...ihl-045-056-bosch-electronic-ignition.256095/ about repairing the Bosch unit on an 056,but this one is different shape. Any ideas?
