I still have a 353, 346, OE372, and 7900, all bought between 04 and 06. Sold off the 660 and 361 not long after I bought them.
Of all these, I would sell my 361 last primarily because it is the only one of the group that I bought new. Remember the Bush stimulus checks? I used mine to help pay for the saw, an all-new model at the time. As it turns out, the 361 has also performed marvelously and still does. I tend to run the Husky 257 and the 036 (an upgraded 034) in its place only to reduce the wear and tear on the 361 that still looks almost new.

Yeah I hear you! I've just never ran a 60cc I really cared for all that much, only saws that size I keep around are bright green.[emoji4]

Stihl certainly makes excellent saws but they also charge excellent prices for the models that have characteristics available in other brands that sell for half the price. Love your Stihl. Love your Poulan. This thread however was looking for a "legend" in the new saws which to me means something unique that isn't duplicated anywhere else. I don't see it in any of the saws listed because it's hard to achieve. If you have a feature, others copy it so fast it's hard to know who came up with it in the first place. I'm sure everybody has watched all the series about logging and the You Tube videos. I find it hard to find anything but red saws with "Buckin Billy" and his yellow ones being the exception. Even "Port Protection" where it's pretty much survival as the main purpose, you find mostly Stihl in the smaller saws and red saws when Curly has to get serious about things.

If the only reference to various saws are the model numbers it's hard to know which saws are being discussed if your audience doesn't have any dealings with that brand. If the conversation is intended to be between only a small group of people then just use number desgnations but if you want to really make a case for why certain models will be legendary, use the whole name and state yiour case for why you think so. That way we can all learn something new while sitting in the house..

The thread "Witch saw models should be brought back? got me thinking about the new saws Stihl MS361, MS441 etc.

Will any of these saws ever gain THE LEGENDARY STATUS that saws like the Stihl 028, 038 & Husky 262, 266 have???
I don’t know the Husky line well enough to say, but among the Stihls you listed, I don’t think any of them will rise to that level. The MS241 and the 200T are the legends that come to mind and they are both commercial saws. I can’t envision a time when anyone will be lusting after any of the residential models. Don’t get me wrong, some of them are great for the money, but not destined to be a legend.

Only my $0.02,

Over here, anyone who is remotely interested in this subject has been talking about, pre ordering and putting deposits on the new Husky 592, going by what's being said this could well be on that list.
