Me and the boys are gettin sick of Canadian Winters!

Hong Kong, too, I hear.

Of course, they got cobras that live in the trees over there. Adds a little more excitement to the whole thing...

I'm considering it for midwinter, wonder how smart a guy needs to be. Definitely a new dendrology lesson.

Hey what's wrong with Canadian winters? Other than the fact that they last 6 months? Or is it the -50 C windchill in Jan. and Feb.? Now that's the time to be in the trees, knocking snow down the back of your neck, having a patch of snot freezing your mouth shut and constantly pulling the carb on your saw apart to get the ice out of it. :(

It's the most
Wonderful time
Of the year

This picture was taken during a real magical time last winter. You can wear 2 scarfs and a hardhat liner but the wind can always find that tiny bit of exposed neck.

I am looking for some seasonal work too. Things close up here in Jan and Feb. I am looking at trying to go somewhere WARM for work in Jan. Looking at headed to Vietnam and Thailand in Feb for the month. Singapore would have me in the niehborhood.

Hopefully the vacation part will happen. Jan will probably find me in Texas. Maybe Reed can get something shakin in Texas. Jan is usually slow there too.

matthias,
Is that what a subdivision looks like in Canada?

what about a seasonal exchange, because some of the summer days in va are killing me. 2 days ago was 95 outside plus humidy index put it at 106 real feel. i climbed 5 trees in the moning. after lunch i hiked up this 100 ft w. oak and cut two limbs - started to rest and couldnt catch my breath got a headache and came out of the tree thinking i was going to pass out. you want some of this come on down. still souds better than -50 too me though

Hey Rocky I look forward to meetin ya. This is gonna be cool. What do you and Justin planned? I will skip a few days and come hang out with you guys. I dont work for free though, You guys gotta buy the beer and steaks.

On the winter work topic. I was about this close to going down to NZ to fall some big timber. I would imagine that New Zealand and Australia, have some good oppurtunities for winter work, and look at it this way, You dont even have to learn a new launguage.
