If you go that far, you might as well go with those arm chaps too, go for the full S&M tree climber effect. lol

Carbon fibre gecko's eh, how do you like them?? I've got the gecko IIs with american spikes and can find absolutely nothing to complain about, love em.

If you have carbon fiber gecko's why are you even looking at anything else? I've spiked up about 15 feet in a set and they were pretty comfortable to wear, although I didn't spend any time in them.

A bit off topic, but those armchaps are great for those sappy pines with all those needles, the days you prefer to work in a t-shirt. But I do get some queer looks....

i was just wondering about the wolf claws because to me it looked like something that wouldnt work well, to much to them. as far as the cf gekos i freaking love them. after using steel for so long these are the cats pajamas. bartlett bought me a pair of the regular gekos when i worked for them thats where i fell in love with them. unfortunatly when i left i also had to leave them thier also. so when i was looking for a better spike i seen the cf ones and jumped on it. im on spikes alot some days like 6+ hours they make a huge difference in fatigue and comfort. for some reason i have alot more confidence with them on probably mental but i didnt like how regular t pads move around on your leg thies are rock solid!

I have the wolf claws and have used them over 6 years.Comfortable.

Off topic also. I am half owner of a 2 man family company. That means I am the climber/bucket guy, and I do the groundie job too.. The arm chaps are great for when you are dragging bundles of limbs to the chipper or for climbing trees with nasty bark, like a Honey Locust. I lost a pint a day on the first one I took down.

locust will definetly tear you up im scared for life probably.

I had a pair for a few years, then donated them to the local community college's arb' program and went with traditional style aluminum.

I found that they got in the way more then not, and when extended to the full length had too much flex.

I know a guy who loves his because they give a little more rigidity to his ankle. I think they are good for the occasional gaffer, not for someone who uses them every week or more.
