Can anyone ID this stove and give an opinion?

One thing is it has been over fired a few times make sure you check the fire box good

Thats your basic "Hot Blast" design stove. pick your brand, they all made one just like the other. basically a big box to burn wood in, and they will burn a ton of it. they were inefficient burners but they do heat well if you can keep them fed.

Looks like a johnson energy systems wood furnace. Should be tag on feed door stamped with name and model. Were a precursor to a "hot blast".

They are a well built stove that should give years of service. From what I have been able to research they were made by a small company owned by a lone owner. When he retired he closed up shop end of story. That is pretty much all I was ever able to find anyway.

Thank you for responding. A buddy of mine wanted to get it out of his garage and I was looking for a stove for a pole barn I just had built.
