Simple, safe, effective. The future of tree ascension? Thats Guy Meilleur (Treeseer) in the white hard hat. He was gracious enough to take 3 hours out of his day to meet with me @ the UNCW campus with his new toy.
Worth $2500? I want one.

not heavy or bulky.

Wow, nice ride. From tail tied old school to state-of-the-art ascension in a single bound! AWESOME!!

Get a wraptor it will change your whole attitude on tree work in general.

If you want to demo it again to make sure I'm not but 40 minutes from Columbia.

Your not using it correctly.

Why are you guys hanging off the backup?

The ring in the front is there for a reason, you run your climbing setup up through that ring, that's what supports your body weight during an ascent. The black lanyard is for a BACKUP, you guys did it backwards.

I could tell right away from the cockeyed angle that's on the device.

yo Guy......

you are USING IT ALL WRONG!

TIE INTO THE UNIT......of course since you are a master arborist, you know already right? But Hey, I dont want to see anyone hurt......even you Guy.

I have been using the Wraptor for over a year....no problems.

Guy, how about that hollow tree over the playground you were trying to save..it still good?

Wow yeah thanks; i reviewed the video today after seeing ed's post and said omgwtf kind of idiot am I!! That would explain the slow speed...:buttkick:

But I'm sure the maker will congratulate me for verifying the backup works!

biv, playground whaa??? I work on too many hollow trees to remember that one.

Not being a catalog climber, climbing is simply a means to an end for me. The best part was the Q&A session after the climb.

You were lucky you lived thru that blunder Treeseer :poke:. Gonna be hard to condescend to others for a while after that. Guess we don't see a video lol.

I am likely going to buy one of these this spring. Looks like the real deal. $2500 not too bad over a few years use. Wonder how good a warranty it has? My Tanaka drill is decades old and we could go out today and drill right thru the ice into the ground with a 3" auger. No question about the power head from my perspective.

Rope Tek Wraptor

:kilt:Looks like a great peice of equipment. My company is buying a unit soon for some accounts we have where the trees are inxcess of 130 feet.It looks much easier to set up then using a block line and the goods. If anyone knows is the ascending line for this unit a static line or just a 16strand line?
