I'm after a few IPL'S for the McCulloch range of Chainsaws in particular the older bigger saws in particular the 1-83, 250, 450, 550, CP125 and SP125 or any of the other big saws in the range proberly up to 1974.

If you could scan the all the manual and email it to me so the pages will print to approx 8 x 10 or A4 size would be rather nice.

This way i can collect as many IPL'S as possible and place them on DVD a total range of McCulloch IPL'S is something badly needed i feel by a lot of people.
I would make the DVD free to copy to help with distribution to all that would like a copy.

If you feel that you would like to help then email myself with the model you plan to scan and send to check that it hasn't already been added to the list.

I've got 10-10, 1-80, 1-71, and 4-30 A covered. i can supply them on my webpage. As soon as i can, I will have a server to offer to host the data, it just needs a home.

Things are going to get hectic for me here quick, as my landlord just delivered me an eviction notice on account i asked him to fix the leaking roof.

Gday Heviarti,
Mate a small favour would you mind sending me a copy of your manuals (complete) by scanning them and suitable to print in a 8 x 10" as i would like to add them to the data base i'm building in return if you like i can return them as PDF Files.

If you need a server try www.geocities.com as they allow you to upload your site it's of 15mb's capacity per folder i know i had about 100 of them.

Got the hot set up

Progress is being made .I have a McCulloch tech library,on the way.Ye boys, that was me. :) I talked to the people at the local library ,about scanning the Mac micros,no problem. It's going to take a while,so be patient.More to come.

Hey, that was a good idea, Al!

Bob, what heviarti is saying is that he's got the <i>server</i> (hardware) but needs a place to stick it to give it the connectivity/DNS it'll need.

Bob, I have a mac page and can throw my two or three manuals up there. what I am suggesting is a server to host EVERY manual, and a parts number retrieval database. Geocities wouldn't hosts something the size of Mike Acres' page for free. What I am suggesting is as big if not bigger (in disk space and CPU usage) thank chainsaw collector's corner.

JJ, try scanning one of them again and saving as PNG, then compare the result against the JPEG version for legibility of the fine detail.
