A neighbour cut down this Japanese mountain cherry (I'm in Japan). I'm ready to do my first milling, so will do this just for the experience, but it looks like a whole lot of rot in the middle. The brown parts are not soft, though.

Would you mill it? Is it worth the gas and time? Is there anything useable in there?

Appreciate any comments.PXL_20250216_053634692.jpg

cost of fuel is a pretty cheap price to pay for the experience gained, especially if you just starting. Learn the basics on junk logs before sawing a "good" log
