I've started my Jonsered 90 project saw. Earlier tonight I was installing a carb kit on the Tillotson HS. I saved installing the main diaphragm until the last, only to find out that the guide & screw holes in the kit diaphragm don't match up to the carb. Yes, I should've checked all of the pieces before I installed anything. In the kit the main diaphragm & the gasket are separate, & the gasket matches the carb just fine. The one that I removed from the carb is one piece, maybe original. I have 2 kits, so I checked the 2nd one--same problem.
Has anyone had any recent experience with bad carb kits? I'm wondering if there is something that I overlooked (a very real possibility), or are suppliers knowingly/unknowingly selling bad kits? I purchased the kits from Manufacturer's Supply, part 38-3644, carb kit replaces Tillotson RK-23HS. I'm going to call them tomorrow, but I wanted to get some input here.
Any experiences, advice, educated guesses, & even half azzed opinions are welcome.
Thanks,
Chris Jones
