Hello all,

I'm in the market for a firewood saw. I have been looking on ebay and I feel that a Sthil 026 or a Husqvarna 50 or 51 are what I would need. I'm an occasional user and I enjoy doing my own repairs so a used saw isn't a problem. My price range maxs out at around $100 to $150. I'm not leery about buying a saw on ebay but I figured this was a good place too. If any of you have something in my price range, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks,

Jeff

The 51 is a great little saw. I have one had it since 98, and I have done alot with it. Never had a problem. The 26 would also be good. For that price range though you might have to come up with a little more money to cover shipping. I saw tonight that ebay had quite a few 51 saw for sale. I bought mine on sale brand new in 1998 for 330.00 out the door. But I would say you would be better of with at least 300.00 to spend. I dont think you could get one on ebay with shipping costs for less than 200.00 plus change probably closer to 250. Maybe you could find one used locally at a saw shop. Ebay prices can be high. To bad my friend is selling a very clean husky 50 for 100 bucks, but I think my other friend will buy it. I will know tommorow, and can get back to you if you want. I think 30 to 40 dollars to ship.

for that low of a price range much better to buy local.
way better spend shipping $$ on more saw locally

pawn shop can come up with some excellent deals, if you have time to snoop around. just know your prices before shopping.
