Hi all,
Since my super 2 isn't running, I pulled out the old XL-12 I bought a couple summers ago. I'm not sure how old it is, but it's in minty condition (bar still says homelite). The guy I bought it from had just had it serviced (still had pickup tag on it) and paid >$100 for the work. I paid $50 for the saw. It starts easy and seems to run great, real torquey. But, it's got a manual oiler on it. I can tell the oiler works, but how often do you pump the oiler when you're cuttin? Every 15 sec or so? Or can you tell by feel/look when it needs a shot? My guess is that if you can tell it needs a shot, it should've probably had more lube by then!
It's a red saw, any idea how old it would be? Or if I might find an owner's manual for it on line? (eg. pdf format?)
If it helps "ball-parking" the age, here's a pict.
Thanks,
Brent
