I have owned my XL123 for 30 years. It is just a great, reliable saw. In 30 years, I have only had to replace the coil. However, lately it has become reluctant to start when warmed up. It fires up great the first time. Then, after cutting awhile, I shut it off and pull and pull with no result--no firing of any sort. After it "rests" 30 minutes, it starts right up again. Can anyone please give my some tips about what to do in the way of maintenance to eliminate this dilemma? If possible email me directly: [email protected]. Thanks very much.

That's a real cop out.... if you want help from the site at least visit it!

After 30 years loyal service a 30 minute break isn't so bad. As we say in England, even a donkey gets a day off.

I'm thinking maybe the tank is not venting well runs for awhile, tank buils up suction -no start condition left sitting pressure equalizes away you go.Hope that helps next time it won't start try opening the tank.
