My wife (bless her heart) told me a friend of hers was having a yard sale, and her husband was sending a bunch of his "junk" with her. For a grand total of $47.00 bucks I loaded a Stihl 028, Homelite 150 Auto, Remington Logger, (2)Mikita DCS 520's one had been run over, and three Homelite string trimmers. So far I've got the Good Makita running, The Remington running, The Homlite 150 runs great. The Stihl has no spark, ,but the piston and jug look good. They are all filthy, with clogged air filters. Looked like they were just run till they quit, then go buy something else. I haven't touched the string trimmers yet, because I hate them things. Now I'll try to take pictures of my haul and post them tomorrow.

Sounds like you made out good! I like yard sales! I found a nice little solo at one and both my Stihls came from yard sales sorta of. My neighbors told me they wanted to sell them but gave me first crack at them before they hit the sale.

Nice haul there! I finally made out at a garage sale with the 1970 Mac 7-10Auto running fine for $5 a couple of weeks ago. Finally made it up to 70cc!

hey... how come I never find any deals like those? :monkey:

Congrats on the find!!! Sounds like a good haul.
What's the model numbers on the trimmers? I'm lookin' for some homie parts.

This is an ad from Craig's list from this week. They lasted a couple of hours. I did not get them.

I have (3) Stihl saws that need repairs. I am moving and will not take them.

(2) are Model 028 and (1) is an 020. FREE.......

I am located in Castro Valley (east bay)

Your lucky,
That was a good find no doubt.

One day on my way home from work,
It was trash day for this particular area.
Along side the trash pile was an old stihl weed whacker.
Sorry, don't know the model unless I went down to the barn.

But all I did was flush out the old gas, change the fuel filter, and change the plug.

Now it runs fine.
