Zigzag with Velocity?

Has anyone tried the zigzag with 11 mm rope such as velocity? The specs state 11.5 mm minimum but just wondering how critical that is. Thanks.

I use Yale 11.7 mm rope with my ZZ and it is a beautiful thing.
