I've been reading all the threads about ethanol fuel and none if it sounds good.
There is a station in town that sells 100 octane ethanol free gas.
6.00$ a gallon. Is it worth it?
What will 100 octane do in a stock 50cc saw. ??

cheaper than canned gas, it should be ok :)
maybe not worth it... but way better than ethy poo :)
91 non ethanol would be a better deal

Is that AV gas? Usually ethanol free unleaded race gas is more expensive. It'll work fine, but will actually make less power and leave more unburned fuel than 87. If it's 100LL AV gas, skip it. Oh how I would love to be able to pump EtOH free 100 unleaded for $6. Jealous.

I paid $6.92 per gallon for E-free 93 a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure why it costs so much but I don't burn that much. Two gallons will last me a couple months.

Ethanol free helps me sleep better at night.... Usually I mix it with sprite.:dizzy: Russ

Im getting 90 octane for $3.89 per gallon.its breaking me up because in a good week I go through 12 gallons in the scag and weedeaters and blowers.plus $75 per fill up in my reverseless ford.glad im not large scale with several mowers and a bigger truck.

Yeah, Missouri ain't a bad place to be. I live right on I-35 and get my E-free gas for a lil more than $3.50. Got lots of walnut, too :)

E-free is the biggest thing you need octane is a back and forth thing on here usually I try to run 87-91 octane in my saws but a 100 I think should be fine but I don't jack squat

Why is AV gas bad again?

The 100 octane pump gas may not be avgas but likely has lead. The only reason avgas has lead is because that's the only way they can get the octane above 100 and still retain other characteristics.
