That is an awesome saw! With that much work done on it, will there be any logevity issues? I know that is probably irrelevant to those of you who are real good at saw building, but for me it would be a legitimate question. That is geat talent at work.
Well, this saw exceeded our expectations. I don't think it would be too awful hard to destroy a saw that two strokes at 16,000 RPM if left to rev too high for too long. That said, in general, modded saws work more efficiently and you can expect them to last longer. You'll definitely get more board feet out of a ported saw. Now, how long that is depends on how much you cut per year.
