And the other one for the MS260 pro?
The MS260 used some versions of the WTE carbs. My IPL shows -1, -2, -4. No 529.

Where are the requested photos of the 026 AF and tank? If you expect accurate advice we need accurate information! The carbs and air filters are mechanically different between the 026 and MS260 and will not interchange.

They likely share the same carb kit with the difference being the impulse cover style
No, the kits are all different between the WT-22, WT-194, and WTE variants. This is why we need accurate information from the OP. A bunch of different carbs got used in these saws and only SOME of them are listed in the various IPLs that are floating around. There have also likely been newer ones released as repair parts

No reason to make this difficult. Swap the cover so it fits the air filter. Do not plug the hole.
This all makes the assumption (still unverified) that the OP's saw has the newer tank and low profile tank vent and will fit the wider filter.

If the WT-22 came off his 026 then it is definitely an older version and the wider compensating filter will not fit.
