I wondered if you guys have some sort of case to carry your saw, or if you just put in on your truck or in the trunk of your car...Let's see what you've got!

Since I worked as a carpenter for 6 years, I know how handy it is to have some sort of case with a strap to carry your saw and some gear too, be it up on the roof, or just on the ground. We always used small saws of course, mostly the 346XP, but also had a 262XP and a 268. When I got my new 365 spc. I figured it would be nice to have a case for it too, I only see advantages in it. It keeps my car clean from oil, chips and dirt, doesn't allow my chain to scratch anything and keeps it protected, plus I have all my gear in on box, and with the strap it's pretty handy if you have a longer approach to your workingsite.

Here's some pictures of it, let me know what you think and what you use!

Cheers

Nice work. Looks like with a full can of fuel and that nice saw it would be pretty heavy.

Yes, it's pretty heavy actually, I'd say about 15-17 kilos. I have a broad strap to carry it, it works good, doesn't cut my shoulder, but I don't think I would want to carry it with a smaller one. I think it's especially nice for small saws, but also for this one it works really fine, I've been using it for about 2 weeks now.

That box is nice!! SouthernX, But I usually just pile stuff in the trailer! LOL:dizzy:

Gregg,

Yeah with a trailer it's not problem, no need for a box. But since I only have a normal car with a trunk that should be kept clean(or I will get forced to clean it:msp_mellow:) ) this works really well for me.

I do use an old plastic milk crate to keep some tools, wedges, chaps, gloves etc. in. But everything else just gets piled in wherever. I generally just cut wood here at home, so its easy for me just to put stuff in the trailer and go. But I see your point about putting the stuff in a car or pickup. My brother in law built a wooden box affair, at the front of his "woods trailer" to pretty much do what yours does. Keeps things way more organised also.:)

Gregg,

Nice job on the box.

I carry my spuuplies in a milk crate (gallon of mix, scrench, file, b&c oil jug, wedges spare chains, etc) and carry the saw in my hands. It would be nice to have a single box to take it all. With my adding a backup saw to the equipment list I'll have to rethink my strategy, but in all reality since I rarely go cutting very far from where i can drive and park the truck I dont have a significant enough need to warrnat spending much time or money. I always work on the ground and I don't think I've walked more than 100 yards from where I parked to where I cut.

Gregg,

Good pic! Nice load! Better trailer!!

I usually take 3 - 4 saws in the back of my Jeep. The two with cases are on the outside with the other 1 - 2 in between, before I run a bungee cord through the handles and secure it to the floor. Tools are in a small toolbox and other supplies in a milk crate. I'm usually towing an aluminum utility trailer, so I prefer to roll up as close to the cutting site as possible.

Red Flyer

Big kids=useless wagon. Most of my cutting is on my house property so this works awesome for me. I'm so used to it that the sound of the rattling wagon wheels means it's cuttin' season!

I'm with you on the wood box; mine is mainly used to keep all my saw crap together in my garage, and make for something I can quickly toss in the car.

Though I gotta say, I am liking the Radio Flyer! I wish I knew what happened to the one I had as a kid.

I use a truck box that's bolted to the front of my trl.Its only loaded when I'm taking the trl out so nothing gets stolen.Other than that I just carry it.
