Not 100% sure if it is a 090 or 070 it does have the 6 shoe clutch. I guess the best thing to do would be just start with the pics and get that out of the way.
Yes it came with the new cover and a sack with some new springs and crank nut for the clutchWOW looks like you have a brand new clutch cover for it too. I can't help you on what model it is.
This is hillbilly country anything to make the competition think you have a mean saw:hmm3grin2orange:I've never heard of just ditching the muffler all together. I suspect it was removed and simply misplaced. Fortunately, they're not hard to come by.
Piston and cyl look good seems to have a lot of compressionCongrats...Looks like it might be a pretty good saw - how's the piston?
-Looks like you have an early model. Red paint, crankshaft locking screw, white throttle trigger, cast Stihl logo on engine shroud etc and the serial number.
-070 vs 090, the muffler is already off so measure the bore! 58mm vs 66mm
-The adapter sleeve (what you called the bushing) gets compressed and expands locking the clutch to the shaft. It is romovable from the shaft. Make sure crank stub, adapter sleeve and inside of clutch are degreased before reinstalling.
-You have the 090 recoil too!
-The model plate you listed isn't the right one. Your saw would have had a decal saying 070 or 090.
Still looking for #25 #29 #30 of this illistration
