I asked for one of these when I was a FNG. I got the standard AS responce "get in line buddy everyone wants one". A great member here hooked me up with this one, its a runner. I need to know what oil goes in the gear case, and how much? I also need a muffler cover is it a different one than other 041 saws?

Acres site says up to a 25". 61cc I think.

Edit: I just went back and looked that info is correct.

I wonder if they had a special use for that model??? I've never seen a gear drive on a saw with that displacement...

Conroy, a member here, had a small Mcculloch gear drive saw at one of Terry's GTG's. I think it was a geardrive anyways. I don't know there purpose though. I like that saw alot though. I like how it says "stihl 041G" on the side.

Cool saw. I like the 041's. They aren't real powerhouses but they sound cool and are fun to run. I never seen a gear driven one in person. You going to have it at the gtg I assume. I guess I will have to try and fit my 041 into the trunk and bring it with too. We are driving down in a car and have limited space, i am having a difficult time deciding which saw to bring.

I'll have a 041FB and this one there.

You better bring a bunch or you're going to piss Stephen off when it comes time for the group picture. :msp_scared:

I like a big pile of saws for that pic, Dan's GTG is going to be hard to beat that was the most saws I ever saw in one place.

Edit: I went and found last falls GTG Pic.

This is my McCulloch LG Super 2, it is 54cc and easily pulls .404 over a 20" bar.

Take the bars off and stick them in the floor board might even be able to get a couple under the hood:msp_thumbsup:
