Anyone here have a 3/4 wrap from Madsens? If so, can you post a pic of it?

Here's one on my 460.

Looks real nice, thanks for the pics. I may order one today? Only $49 and theyre in stock.
I spoke with Dan @ Madsens this morning and he said theyre not as durable as OEM. Have you noticed any durability issues?

The handle rubber is the first thing to go naturally, and my experience has been that it only lasts about 4-5 months under professional use (i.e. 6 hours a day @5 days a week.) The handle itself will start cracking where the support strut is welded to the main body of the handlebar and where the support strut mounts to the side of the tank.
These are not nearly as strong as the OEM handle. The OEM handle was designed to last up to 2,000 hours under "average" commercial use.

Thanks for the honesty. The saw will get minimal use so I'm not overly concerned about the rubber covering. And if a crack happens to appear....I can just TIG it.

they got the full wrap but 3/4 is back order. but they have both 3/4 and full for 66 instock. just got off the phone with allen.

about a month or so wait........ =(

Zip tie the ends of the handle hose. I wrap mine tight with electrical tape.

Hmmmm....spoke with Dan (think thats what he said his name was?) this morning and said the 3/4 was in stock:msp_confused:

Yeah I have eyeballed the price, they looked like pretty good handles. Can't remember if I have had any friends where I live get one. J.J good post on the longevity side. I guess when they built they had some friends of mine in mind. Man some of these fallers go through a saw in 6 months. A year tops, no maintenance of course. So far I have stuck with the OEM, and have had some good luck on used ones, which are getting up in price, but new they are 160 bucks. We used to have real good luck with the ones Bailey's used to sell, not sure but think they are selling wraps again, but not for 49 dollars. But they lasted and wrapped all the way around the saw if that's what somebody likes.

madsens has the 44/46 3/4 wraps handles back in stock.

some who was on the waiting list got theres last week and i got mines today.

Me thinks that nice wrap handle would like mighty good on the 044 project I am working on. May have to pull the trigger on that one!
Thanks for the thread -- I was sourcing a handle in the last few days, this gave me a new idea!

If you want one, don't wait around. They don't last long and are often not in stock.

I bought two 44 wraps and two 66 wraps a couple weeks ago from them. The 66's take a bit of "tweaking" to make em fit right, but look fantastic. I dont use em heavy, so they do ok for me. The factory wraps are more robust for sure. Thicker walled tubing and only one weld on em. That said, they are a fantastic wrap for the money. You can buy four of em for the price of one factory wrap. lol

Here is my 64 with one.....
