Got me a little Stihl 020 AV Super

Runs great, a tad worn but perfect for a outdoor Demolition project I have here on the Homestead.

Question: It currently has a Husqvarna Chain with no # on it, I posted a picture of the bar and
what chain would you guys recommend for cutting up a bunch of old pressure treated lumber.

I'm even contemplating going to 12", I'll be in some tight spots with this.

Well it looks to me like you have a lot of cutting left in the chain you have on it.
The cutters don't look bad..NOT very worn /short at all. I'd sharpen and use it.
(also it's NOT a safety chain..so should cut aggressively if sharpened well)

The chain you are "considering" IS a safety chain..so less aggressive.
It's also a carbide chain..which is OK..until you hear the price of it..!!

If the wood is clean..I'd go with RSC (RS) or if dirty RMC (RM).

You didn't mention your experience level..so maybe you want/need a safety chain..??

Thanks J2F, Reason I looked at the Stihl chain was that they claim it can take a lot of abuse.

None of my Husqvarna's run safety chains. I'm ok with those.

Glad to help..!!--The chains I mentioned are made by Stihl and are what I use.

Stihl chains do last longer cause it's harder steel..but that also makes them harder to sharpen.

But the $$ for carbide is nuts AND if you read down..it has to be sharpened with a diamond wheel.

Just get the regular chain and sharpen yourself..!!
