Homelite Super 1050 Automatic

Picked this up yesterday, has great compression and spark. Spent some of the morning cleaning it.

Should be a runner after general fuel system work.

Found this saw at a major honey hole for vintage saws, quite a bit of large frame Macs, Homies, Pioneers. Pretty reasonable prices also.

Nice find Chris. The tall handle is a different feature as well.
The 1050 Homelites are one of my favourite saws - easy to work on, plenty of spare parts around, and pretty good performance for a vintage saw.

Did it come with a bar? Or what ya got planned for this one? I have one with about a 24" roller and the other has a 36" hard nose. They are awesome. My yellow/orange one is missing the muffler baffle...

I found quite a few down there, some S44As a bunch of front tank models I didn't check out too much, then some atleats one 795, 797 carcass, a 440 and loads of 10 series Macs.

Did it come with a bar? Or what ya got planned for this one? I have one with about a 24" roller and the other has a 36" hard nose. They are awesome. My yellow/orange one is missing the muffler baffle...

This one came with a 20inch hardnose.

Well, after fiddling with the carb and getting it cleaned we have a runner! It's going to need some adjustment and gone over while it's running to see if there are any air leaks.


Burning the funk out of the crankcase creates a heck of a stink.


Mayve tomorrow I can get a quick video of it together.

Probably better for bucking logs on the ground. Don't have to stoop so much...

They made it for the the guys that don't know how to sharpen chains, gives you a little more leverage when cutting with a dull chain or high rakers.

Easier to get the gas in ?
Mine's kinda tight to get to with the handguard on there.

Nice saw Chris. They are great runners.

Mine has the stock height handlebar.
