This is a OEM set from Bailey's $15.00 on sale, I suppose.

I have several good size pine stumps to get down.

Do I really need these, probably not, but for $15, why not give them a try.

I will say that I liked the big bucking spikes on the 7900, and felt that they were a help in getting through some big stumps.

I don't know much about big dogs , but they almost look too big to me ?

I think they would get in the way a lot for what I do.

Good price though, and they certainly look cool.:clap:

Yeah, they are not practical for normal cutting that I do. When I finish the stumps and buck a couple of large pine logs, off they come.

Were they any help, I doubt it, but I had to try to know. I keep thinking about that 7900 I sold though.....

I like them much better than the small ones. The pro safety are pretty close for the 372.

For the saw neat freaks of this board. They keep the cases off logs and scratch free. I like them on my 385xp. But they eat up over 2" of bar length. I normally run a 24" to 28" bar on that saw. Big dogs really shine when cutting trees with thick bark.

Yep. They look like overkill but work well falling our hardwoods.

I just purchased a 365sp and I have to say that I wish that it had the larger dogs. The small single dog is more like a puppy than a dog. I find it frustrating when you need them and they are not there but that will change soon. Big dogs make working more efficient and safer for me when using a 24" bar or longer.

Husky part# 503 71 97-01 is what I call the standard size outside dog, not as big as the pro felling dog but plenty big enough. Will still fit into a Husky Powerbox without modification. I took off those huge dogs on my 372XPW and went with these on both it and the 365 special. Check out an IPL, sometimes they show the two sizes side by side. REJ2

I agree!! I put a set on my 385, the stock ones, are just a little better than useless. I cut a lot of swamp white oak, here, very thick bark. With these you can get a good bite. I use a 28" bar. I like em..:)
And, they were about half the price of the Pro Saftey Dogs.

Gregg,

Thanks, bigger dogs are on my next order list. I am just so use to having them on my larger saws when I sweep through a log them not being there throws me off.

Why don't you repost this in the Baileys sponsor forum and take it up directly with them instead of whining about it. I highly doubt they are making a killing on shipping because you are what, ten thousand miles from them. Did you even ask about other methods of shipment?

I have a set of Baileys 5 point dogs for a 385 sitting on a shelf. Shoot me a PM if someone is interested. US only sorry.

Just putting the standard outer dog on my 365 helped a lot for me. Going with the wrap dogs would be too much for what I do. I wanted something a little more than just the standard inner dog, and I feel it was a good choice.
