The John Deere 80EV is equivalent to the Echo 750EVL and the EVL stands for "Electronic Vibration Less".

What this man said. I think the way Echo put it was 'electronic vibeless'. Those saws do have good a/v for being 30+ yrs old.

The John Deere 800 (rebadged Echo 8000) was a later version. I will try to get a picture later tonight of my 80 and 800 together.

It's worse than that. I sold it, and regret that mistake to this day.
