This may or may not be the right place for this, but looks like this has turned into a bit of an Echo thread, but am looking for a bucking spike for a CS-4600. Tried one for a CS-450p that was sitting here but won't fit. Are there other models that might use the same spike?

Should be part #88020030131 still available from Echo

Do you have any info if that kit also happens to fit a CS-5000? Dealers here told us they were NLA from Echo...looks like a few sources online for that part, but also sounds like dad took a flier on a eBay spike kit for a CS-5000 already.

Yup CS-5000 takes the same one!

Cool, thanks.

I see in your sig you have a couple of ported Echos, who did those for you? Dad has a nice CS-4600 and I have a 450p that maybe have more potential than we are realizing now, but not sure of anyone around that does that work.

I did my own but there are a couple guys that do it professionally on here. I would send your saws to one of them if I were you. Especially your 450 hasn't tapped half the potential it has in stock form. 4600s were pretty hot right out of the box though

Oh definitely a 4500/4600/450v will cut right with a 45cc 346! It's too bad they detuned the new 450s so bad. We can thank the EPA for that. Lotta potential in the new 450s though and they are SO SMOOTH! Very overlooked and underrated IMO.

Hi guys, glad I found this thread, I have an 80EV that I bought for parts for my 750EVL but the internals are nice. I would like to get it up and running, if someone has one with a coil and rear handle assembly I would be interested. Currently I have a 500EVL my 750EVL and 4 280Es. I had a 601SVL I bought brand new but I gave it to a friend for parts a few years ago, would like to have another.

Here is a smaller version with chain brake. Great running saw that starts first pull--if you are fast enough to push choke off. Whoever had it, took extreme care of it and only used it occasionally. Just wish it had the original bar with name on it.JOHN DEERE (6).JPG JOHN DEERE (2).JPG JOHN DEERE (3).JPG JOHN DEERE (8).JPG JOHN DEERE (9).JPG JOHN DEERE (11).JPG JOHN DEERE (12).JPG JOHN DEERE and STIHL CHAINSAWS 014.JPG
Has 155# compression and I have it for sale on CL.

Looks factory fresh

I bought a John Deere 40V back about 1980. It needs a few parts now, but was a great little saw. The designers of it's replacement, one of the big two, could have learned a few things if they'd studied a 40V.

:baba: beautiful saw my friend and at a great price too!!! There is one in the same shape close to me but the guy is firm on 160$

I just picked up a really nice 800v for $60 CDN
Can I ask what model bar you have and how much it was ?

Hi Sukey,
You sure got a deal on that 800v! The bar on mine is a D176 mount Oregon powermatch. Left coast supply has the best prices Ive seen. If you want to save a little money, you can run a Husqvarna bar, but you will need to use bar spacers. I cut the spacers from a piece of 3/8 metal fuel line that have a 5/16 ID, works perfect and can be easily removed. Just dont let the spacers hang out too far that they interfere with the cover.
